Miss Lashes {aka Smooch, Greta, Moo-Moo, & Lady Love} turned one year old while we were on our roadtrip so we didn’t get to celebrate it. Since I felt extremely guilty about this, we threw her a mini party once we returned home.
I normally buy a cake in Old Town Spring but due to the time restraint I baked her some “pup cakes” from scratch instead:
Bake them for 20 min. at 350 degrees
And Voilà! You have adorable cute pup cakes ready to be made into a cute arrangement!
As icing, I mixed peanut butter & food coloring together and smeared it on top with a spoon.
The puppies waited patiently as I got everything together
Once we put our birthday hats on, it was time to start this show
Some of us were more excited than others…
But we lit the candle, sang happy birthday,
He really got in to it!
Then it was time for the gifts and this wasn’t Diesel’s first rodeo
Lashes eventually got the idea
Then she defended her gifts with her mighty self
All & all, this was a cute and successful first birthday
